Dragon Notes From Calistra
Graphic © The Good Witch

As the mother of Tarok, I have the honor of leading thee to meet many of the residents of our special and protected realm. All of these individuals would like nothing better than to be a productive and giving member of your world. But some "out worlders", through either ignorance or just plain stupidity, do not see the value of ALL life. Whether one believes that life is given by the deity of their choice or by whatever manner it comes to be, only the blind can think that life is random and spontaneous! In their complete and utter arrogance, they seek to destroy that which is kind and giving simply by virtue of it's difference.

Not life as THEY would like it to be or think it should be, but life, given by God, and taking whatever form is cast upon them, to make of it what they will, if only given a chance.

Some see this life force as a cruel joke of nature; however, no one is ever given a guarantee and these special people are no joke. There are species in the "outer world" that are physically beautiful on the outside, but with hearts as black as the thickest forest night! There are also those "all-knowing" out worlders that think this force of life should be extinguished before it reaches the light of day. I say NAY!!

Lord Tarok is a unique and valuable part of our realm, whose bright light shines within this sometimes dank and restless world. He has a fierce and loyal protector in his mother, Lady Calistra, the Good Witch of Excalibur. I spread my protection over all children, as well as these special individuals so rare and unique in their acceptance and love of all around them. They so sorely desire to be needed and loved above all else.

I will protect and nurture, with all the powers at my disposal (and considerable they be), all those that need my care and protection; especially children!

It is now time to meet the very "special" residents of Draconia. If thou art here to learn, then welcome. If thou art skeptical, perhaps we may be able to sway thy heart in the right direction. If thou art ignorant and intolerant.....then, there is little hope for thee, in any case.
